Work experience
July 2025 - October 2025
A fortunate situation has landed onto me, and I got into an undisclosed Minecraft server development team. My responsibilities included:
- Maintaining the uptime, stability and performance under all the instances;
- Refactoring existing code.
The accomplishments that I’m most proud of are:
- Developing a custom binary format to profile memory usage, alongside a recorder and a renderer for it, using it afterwards to fix our critical performance issues;
- Cleaning up the code and making contractor software work in our codebase and directly integrating it to the main source tree.
In the meantime before starting that position, I was contributing to FOSS and working on my own projects, some of which can be seen in a section below.
May 2025
At this time, I was contracting at a local corporation as a minimum wage employee. No further details will be given for the sake of my privacy.
December 2024 - January 2025
As part of my time moderating the Centre T’s Discord server, I contributed together with one other staff member on 2 generations of the moderation bots:
The first one was developed in Kotlin, using Kord, Ktor and Exposed. The second one was rewritten in Rust with the help of SQLx and Serenity, but I was only around for a bit on both of them.
October 2024 - January 2025
This was my first proper time working with the skills described above that I am confident sharing: I was doing some basic video editing and thumbnail work at the time for a person working with Junebug and Hamy.
Proof of having source files for some of the works published by them at the time can be provided at request of a potential employer.
F[L]OSS contributions
In the times that I had no work, or work that couldn’t be disclosed / is not important to my skillset, I have worked on various Free (and Libre) Open Source Software projects. Those projects include
nocensor: A personal COPR RPM repository that packaged Zapret, and was going to package some other software, until it was abandoned in favour of contributing to Terra open-source package repository by Fyra Labs.terra: This is where I have contributed Zapret to, and where I have tried to contribute AMDVLK to, before it got abandoned. As part of packaging AMDVLK, I have packaged DirectXShaderCompiler for it.stellarite: During the time that this image was broken, I have contributed a fix for it.amenity: This is a personal project of mine, distributing a modified image of an RHEL clone for use on my VPSes.gtk-dev-containers: This is an abandoned project of mine that makes it easier to use GTK with development containers. Self-explanatory.
